Svašta Nešto

by Tash Cordeaux

"Svašta Nešto is an Avant-Garde physical exploration of a mother and daughter relationship, touching on grief, PTSD and the experience of conflicted identity from the point of view of the diaspora. It specifically draws on the performer's British-Serbian heritage and the cultural context of the Balkans and its relationship to Britain. Through movement, soundscape and a towel, the work looks at the complex tensions, unspoken dynamics, and deep emotional resonance within a fractured maternal bond."

Tash Cordeaux is an Actor and Filmmaker of British-Serbian heritage, graduating this year from the MA Acting programme at The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. Her creative work explores diasporic voices in everyday settings—including her own—through poetry, community filmmaking, photography, and multimedia storytelling. With an academic background in Anthropology of Media (MA, SOAS) and English Literature (BA, Queen Mary University of London), her research has focused on relationality, decolonisation and the arts.
