Movement & Materiality
Interdisciplinary Workshop

Movement and Materiality invites participants into an immersive dialogue between movement and sculpture. Through dance, tactile exploration, and creative making, the workshop uncovers new artistic languages rooted in multisensory expression, embodied reflection, and inquiry.

Developed through the collaboration between KWAM Collective, award-winning company working with dance theatre through co-creative practices, and renowned interdisciplinary project, Performance Klub Fiskulturnik, the workshop was originally created with and for higher education students. It has since expanded to new contexts, welcoming young people, adults aged 60+, and people experiencing mental health challenges.

The workshop unfolds through a shared journey of movement, material inquiry, and artistic research, where the body listens, responds, experiments. Guided improvisation leads into individual sculptural and drawn responses, before gathering in an open group reflection that celebrates diverse perspectives, shared experience, and creative knowledge exchange.
